French high fashion retailer Colette, which is located in Paris and described as “the trendiest store in the world”, is closing its doors in December. Before the store officially shuts down, Chanel is taking over the store’s first floor for a month according to WWD.
Chanel and creative director Karl Lagerfeld are launching a number of exclusives for the monthlong takeover, but the most anticipated is an Adidas Hu NMD shoe that will be specially customized by Pharrell Williams.
Williams has served as a longtime ambassador for Adidas and collaborated with the brand on a number of sneakers. Williams is also an ambassador for Chanel and modeled Chanel’s Lagerfeld-designed Gabrielle handbag in a spring ad campaign earlier this year.
Although no official photos have been released from Chanel, Adidas or Williams of the shoe yet, there have been a few unofficial photos spotted on Instagram, and the black-and-white sneaker with both “Pharrell” and “Chanel” inscribed on the front of the shoe looks hot!
Chanel will also be offering limited-edition t-shirts designed by Lagerfeld, and the luxury brand’s fall collection will drop on the same day they take over Colette. Chanel’s monthlong pop-up at Colette will take place from October 30 to November 25, and Colette will officially close their doors on December 20.
