Police have captured Eric Holder, the man suspected of gunning down late rapper and community activist Nipsey Hussle.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to CBS2 that Holder was caught Tuesday afternoon in the Bellflower area.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore told reporters Tuesday that Holder, whom they’ve identified as a gang member, “walked up on multiple occasions and engaged in a conversation with Nipsey and the others that were there” on Sunday outside of a clothing store Hussle owned.
Holder then “left and subsequently came back armed with a handgun, and purposefully and repeatedly fired, striking and killing Nipsey Hussle.”
Moore added that Holder fled the scene in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz, with an unidentified woman as the getaway driver.
The police chief continued that they believe Holder’s motive was personal.
“It appears to be a personal matter between the two of them in regards to a dispute, and I’ll leave it at that,” he explained.
