How far the mighty have fallen! Dressed in custom-tailored suits, James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) used to be a nightclub mogul – but now, in orange scrubs, he’s simply another inmate awaiting trial.
EW has a first look at Power season 4, which picks up after Ghost’s arrest at the hands of ex-girlfriend Angela Valdes (Lela Loren). And as one might expect from a guy who just last season was counting on getting out of the game, Ghost is none too happy about being falsely accused as a suspect in the death of FBI Agent Greg Knox (Andy Bean) in the season 3 finale. In fact, as seen in the photo above, Ghost looks shattered and close to the brink of crying – a scene pretty far removed from his days as a drug dealer used to settling scores with the flick of a handgun.
Still, Ghost has a case to build and a trial to get through – and it won’t be at all easy. First of all, there’s Angela – judging by her face in the EW exclusive photo below, she’s definitely not feeling much sympathy for her former lover – and there’s a new state attorney on the case by way of series newcomer Sung Kang.

His introduction comes by way of the behind-the-scenes video below that takes fans into the making of the STARZ hit show’s fourth season at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. “I feel like the new kid,” says Kang, while Joseph Sikora, who plays Ghost’s scheming BFF Tommy teases of the season ahead, “Things explode in a way that wouldn’t be expected.”
Created and produced by Courtney A. Kemp and executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Power returns to STARZ during summer 2017.
