In the last two weeks, all of America has fallen in love with Warriors guard Steph Curry and his precocious daughter Riley. So far, she has videobombed two of his press conferences, and last night, she gave her daddy an adorable good luck kiss before the game. We all love her toddler hijinks, and you can tell that low-key, Steph does, too. “She’s so funny,” he said at the press conference as he beamed. “She’s only 2, which is the craziest thing ever.” He didn’t need to say more than that—you could tell by his expression that she is the sunshine of his life.
He may be carrying the weight of the country on his back, but we all know that President Obama’s number one priority is his daughters. He has been singing praises for Sasha and Malia since day one, and he’s never ashamed to insert them into his speeches and appearances. “Sasha and Malia, before our very eyes, you’re growing up to become two strong, smart beautiful young women, just like your mom,” he said during his 2012 victory speech. “And I am so proud of you guys.” (And he already admitted that he would be a tearful mess at Malia’s 2016 high school graduation)
Throughout his battle with stomach cancer, Stuart Scott never gave up. His legacy has been an inspiration for millions, and he admitted that he owed it all to his daughters. While accepting an award at the 2014 ESPYs, just months before he died, he said that he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for his two daughters, Taelor (pictured) and Sydni. “The best thing I’ve ever done, the best thing I will ever do is be a dad to Taelor and Sydni,” he said. “I can’t ever give up because I can’t leave my daughters. I love you girls more than I will ever be able to express. You are my heartbeat. I am standing on this stage tonight because of you.”
Boris has never been quiet about his 10-year-old daughter Sophie’s battle with spina bifida—a birth defect that can result in leg, bladder and bowel damage—and he has never been quiet about his pride for her. In a Facebook letter for Sophie’s 10th birthday, Boris commended her unwavering bravery. “You’ve shown what true strength and courage is, and you taught me that the love of faith and the faith in love is one and the same,” he wrote. “I’m in awe of your ability to defy the odds, and I marvel at the confidence with which you produce miracle after miracle. You smile your way through life, and your light touches everyone around you.” Awwww.
It’s always refreshing to see ‘Ye’s sweet side come out every once in a while, and since he became a daddy, we’re seeing it more and more. In an interview with Paper Magazine, Kanye dished on the power of North. “When I look in North’s eyes, I’m happy about every mistake I’ve ever made,” he affectionately said as our hearts melted.
