Real Housewives of Potomac star Michael Darby has been charged with felony assault after an alleged incident on the set of his wife Ashley Darby’s hit Bravo reality show.
According to TMZ, Darby is being charged with felony assault and improper sexual contact for allegedly grabbing and groping the buttocks of one of the show’s crew members while filming on September 1.
The crew member, Orville Palmer, is a cameraman on the show. Palmer claimed that he requested Darby remove his hands from his body and then reported the incident to his supervisor. He also claimed that Darby shot him a “a flirtatious look,” after the assault.
ESSENCE reached out to reps for the hit Bravo show, but didn’t immediately hear back.
Darby is the husband of the franchise’s youngest housewife, and has been embroiled in sexual scandals before. Fellow cast member Karen Huger alleged he was cheating on his wife by using a dating app. However this is the first time he has been publicly charged with having sexual contact with someone without their consent.
If he is convicted of assaulting Palmer, Darby could face 11 years behind bars.
