After years of rumors, Robyn Crawford is clearing the air about her relationship with late singer Whitney Houston.
Houston and Crawford’s longtime friendship has been subject of rumors for many years—rumors that saw a recent resurgence thanks toWhitney, a documentary about the singer’s life released last year.
And although Crawford declined to be interviewed in the documentary, many in Houston’s camp believed the two were rumored lovers.
In her new book, A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston, Crawford details the pair’s first meeting as teens in the 1980s and dives into their years-long friendship.
“Since Whitney’s death in 2012, Robyn Crawford has stayed out of the limelight and held the great joys, wild adventures, and hard truths of her life with Whitney close to her heart,” a press release from Penguin Publishing Group states. “In A Song for You, Robyn breaks her silence to share the moving and often complicated story of her life and relationship with Whitney.”
The 320-page book will reportedly detail Houston’s rise to fame, her tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown, and the birth of her late daughter Bobbi Kristina through Crawford’s eyes.
A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston is set to be released on November 5.
