Sterling K. Brown makes another small-screen score in This is Us
By Regina R. Robertson
As the saying goes, one day can make all the difference.
In the case of Emmy nominee Sterling K. Brown, the catalyst came in the form of a single role. Last spring he morphed into former prosecutor Christopher Darden on Fox’s The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and got everybody talking. Now Brown stars as an adopted son in search of his biological father in NBC’s new intricately woven drama This Is Us. “I lost my father when I was 10, so although the circumstances aren’t specific to my life, the story line resonates,” says Brown. “This show can go in so many directions, and I’m curious to see how it all unfolds.”
