We’re just a few weeks away from the New Year, but singer and reality TV star Tamar Braxton is already sharing her resolutions for 2019.
In a moving Instagram post that featured a series of cute pics with her sister, Trina, Braxton vowed to be a better person and not act a “plum fool” next year.
“Sometimes you have to check yourself before you reck yourself,” she wrote. “I’ve decided I’m not going into 2019 the same bitter, combative, woe it is me person.”
Braxton added, “It’s ugly and frankly stupid!! I’ve realized change is just one simple DECISION!!! No matter what it takes my commitment to me is to be a BETTER me.”
During her post, the youngest Braxton also said that much of the drama viewers watched on the most recent season of Braxton Family Values wasn’t exactly real.
“Most of what u have seen on #BFV was LIES and clips put together with me acting a PLUM FOOL for ratings (believe it or not) and sometimes I simply was one,” Braxton said. “BUT, what is FACTUAL is that it tore my family & sisterhood apart. BUT THANK GOD FOR JESUS and FORGIVENESS!!”
This isn’t the first time Braxton spilled the tea that the popular reality show wasn’t exactly real. Back in July, she said producers manufactured a lot of the drama on Braxton Family Values because they got along and were “too boring.”
“We STARTED having major OVER THE TOP family issues because some network wanted to compete with old love and hip hop numbers,” Braxton said. “[They] felt that our family was to ‘perfect’ and un relatable,” Braxton said at the time.
But now it seems like she’s learned her lesson and is ready to mend the relationship with her sisters, especially Trina.
“Sometimes all it takes is saying I Love you and I’m sorry for MY PART of the bullsh-t,” Braxton concluded.
We totally agree.
