On Wednesday, Tamar Braxton posted a photo of a hospital wristband with the caption “#teamoverit #notagain#thisbluebirdisNOThappy” indicating she was hospitalized.
According to TMZ, the 40-year-old was prescribed a steroid for her throat, but her body had a horrible reaction and swelled up while in New York City promoting her new album Bluebird of Happiness. The swelling was so severe once she returned to Los Angeles she was rushed to the emergency room on Wednesday night.
Sadly, this is not the first time the singer has dealt with serious health issue. In November 2015 she was hospitalized from blood clots in both of her lungs, sharing that she suffers from a condition known as thoracic outlet syndrome that forced her to undergo surgery to have a rib removed as it was an obstruction of the vein.
Braxton recently spoke to ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! about her new music and outlook on life. “I’m a really happy person and I like to have a good time,” she said about previous public feuds.
“I’m a girls girl, I have four sisters and a mother, I don’t want any beef. But, if I have something to say I’m going to say it. I don’t want to shame, but I might shade. I’ve always been a funny person, who makes light of a situation, but I definitely don’t want any beef with anybody.”
