Tamar Braxton has been honest about her desire to continue growing her family, but on Thursday night’s episode of Braxton Family Values, the singer shared the heartbreaking news thar she had suffered a miscarriage.
Talking to her big sister, Grammy-award winning singer Toni Braxton, the 39-year-old wife and mother shared the news and opened up about the emotional experience of losing a pregnancy while trying to remain hopeful and trying in vitro fertilization.
“You know, I didn’t tell nobody because it was very very new,” she said. “Well, maybe like a week before I went to Atlanta, I found out I was pregnant.”

During the episode, the Grammy nominated singer tweeted her thanks to viewers for their support upon learning of the devastating news.
The remainder of the season will chronicle the journey Tamar and her husband Vincent Herbert face as they struggle to conceive another child.
“Going through IVF is not easy, you know,” she shares. “The mental part, trying to stay calm, trying to stay positive when the stakes are so high and the instant weight gain and body change throws you completely off but then it’s the other side of it, like ‘oh my gosh, it could be.'”
The Herbert’s welcomed their first child in June 2013–a son, Logan Vincent–who Tamar describes as her “miracle baby.”
Other celebs have been vocal about miscarring or having difficulties conceiving. Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Evelyn Lozada have all been vocal about the misfortune of suffering a miscarriage.
We wish Tamar and Vince the best in welcoming another child in the future.
