Tamar Braxton wants to assure you that a lot of the beefs you’ve heard about are “fabricated.”
The singer and television personality stopped by ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! podcast to discuss her new album Bluebird of Happiness, which dropped Sept. 29. During her appearance, Braxton touched on how social media has fueled a number of rumors about alleged beefs between her and other celebs.
“I believe that a lot of beefs are made up,” she told ESSENCE. “I don’t sit on social media all day and start friction with people. I’m a really happy person and I like to have a good time. I’m a girls girl, I have four sisters and a mother, I don’t want any beef. But, if I have something to say I’m going to say it. I don’t want to shame, but I might shade. I’ve always been a funny person, who makes light of a situation, but I definitely don’t want any beef with anybody. So, I think a lot of that is fabricated.”
Braxton was rumored to have hit bump in her friendship with Tiny Harris, during Harris’ relationship issues with husband and rapper T.I., but the two seemed to have patched things up in June.
The singer also squashed her beef with K. Michelle back in 2015 at the BET Awards.
“People act like they’re in your head and you’re talking about a specific person and you’re not talking about anyone in general,” she added. “Sometimes you just gotta put The Shade Room down, darling, and just live your life.”
