Tamera Mowry-Housley has two adorable kids with husband Adam Housley, Aden and Ariah, and she’s hoping to add one more.
The actress spoke to Madame Noire about expanding her family, revealing she’s always wanted to adopt. “I can remember as young as 11, God just placed that on my heart,” she said. “When I met my husband, I told him about that dream and aspiration and he said, ‘You know what? Me too!’ So who knows? Timing is everything. I want to make sure that we are in a place where we can give all of our children that attention and love.”
Mowry-Housley gave birth to her son Aden back in 2012 and welcomed her daughter Ariah in 2015.
She’s been open about the challenges of parenthood, recently telling PEOPLE sometimes she feels a bit in over her head, especially when her two children start crying.
“It is a sound that will make you start crying,” she told the publication. “So say they’re fighting over a toy, or Aden is upset with something and then Ariah gets upset with something and then I have an important phone call or I have to get them out of the house for school within that time … it can be very challenging, and I just sometimes throw my hands up and start crying too. We just all have a cry.”
But, Mowry says there’s a silver lining by raising her loving kids.
“Seeing them have a disagreement and then, without anybody saying anything, them actually taking care of each other —saying you’re sorry, hugging it out, helping each other pick up the toys, sharing. It’s always refreshing to see them do some of the things that you have taught your children many times… It’s beautiful.”
