T.I. fulfilled his promise to celebrate the life of his sister, Precious Harris, with a joyful homegoing instead of a somber service.
The rapper and family man posted a video of the party where Harris’ loved ones turned up in her memory. It looked more like a lavish wedding than a repast as mourners were surrounded by elaborate flower arrangements, elegant buffet stations, strobe lighting, golden pendants, and crystal center pieces.
“I promised to celebrate your Life and damnit that’s EXACTLY WHAT WE DID!!!” the rapper wrote in the caption for the video. “We can’t thank you enough for all of you Love, Leadership, Sacrifice, & Service!!! We Love You Dearly all of this Life and well into the Next.”
Precious passed way on Feb. 22 after being involved in a car crash.T.I. also expressed his gratitude to Grand Hustle general manager, Hannah Kang, who supported the family by taking on the responsibility of pulling the celebration together with less than 24 hours notice.
“Special Thx to my other sister @mshannahkang for making the last minute arrangements for the Ceremony,” he continued. “Couldn’t have done it without you. And thanks to all the family, friends, and supporters who been lifting us up in prayer and came out to show LOVE for my BIG Sister!!!!”
Kang shared more images from the repast, which was reportedly attended by more than 1,000 people, in a slideshow on her Instagram page.
“So @troubleman31 calls me last night at 8 p.m. to set up the repast,” she explained.
Sharing a personal connection with Harris, Kang wrote she was deeply affected by her passing and motivated to do her absolute best.
“This one hurt me,” she wrote in the caption for the slideshow. “I’ve known @preciousharris1913 for 15 years. Her spirit was so young and vibrant so you never thought It would end,” she concluded.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harris family and everyone who had their heart touched by Precious Harris.
