Tiffany Haddish praise-danced and joked her way through her debut on SNL Saturday night, becoming the first black woman standup comedian to ever host the legendary show in 43 seasons.
The Girls Trip star started off the show with a monologue that tackled issues like the sexual misconduct revelations, and Donald Trump’s hair. She also made sure to give a shoutout to her foster care experience, thanking all Americans who paid their taxes in the 90s.
“If you wouldn’t have paid your taxes, I wouldn’t be here today,” she joked. “So thank you.”
Haddish was hilarious in the “Lion King Screen Test” sketch where she played Cardi B (with Offset) and Mary J Blige trying out for roles in the upcoming Disney remake.
She also played Boo Boo Jeffries, a fighter in a Mortal Kombat-type game who hates to fight; a too-honest black unicorn; a host of a Fall Cat Giveaway; and Bianca Twerks, an Instagram butt model-turned-movie critic that is a guest on a TV talk show.
Congratulations to Tiffany!
