Tina Knowles-Lawson is dishing on her twin grand babies.
Beyoncé and hubby JAY-Z have kept the two hidden and shared limited info about the twins, but Mama Tina is giving fans a little bit more from a recent interview with US Weekly.
Knowles-Lawson gushed about Rumi and Sir, calling them “wonderful.” Adding, “Being a grandmother, it’s not like being a mom because you don’t have to have all the responsibility all the time, but they are amazing. This is my first experience around twins, and they’re so different, and their personalities and they are wonderful.”
She also joked that little Sir has the perfect mean mug “The boy has a stare, like a mean mug, like Jay sometimes, which is so cute, and the girl, she’s just so happy all the time and so sweet. They are just adorable!”
Beyoncé and JAY-Z welcomed the twins back in June with the rapper explaining the meaning of their names during an interview with Rap Radar.
Rumi was named for their “favorite poet,” the 13th-century Persian, while their son Sir’s name came from sheer confidence: “Sir was like, man, come out the gate,” Jay-Z said on Rap Radar. “He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.”
And, with the twins set to celebrate their first Christmas, Knowles-Lawson is preparing for a big family gathering with a massive meal. “I’m going to cook the biggest meal with everything I know how to cook. We’re all going to be together and I cannot wait. It’s really hard to get everyone together these days. It’s becoming harder and harder!”
