This year has been really tough for Toya Wright.
The television personality and ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne lost her brothers Josh and Rudy earlier this year to gun violence and now, Wright is reeling from the loss of her godmother.
Wright took to Instagram to pay tribute to her godmother, writing, “I lost my godmother who was like a sister to me yesterday.
This year has been extremely tough for my family and I. First my brothers and now my nanny who I grew up in the house with. Nanny I’m gonna miss you so much. Kiss Wina, Frank, Josh and Rudy for me….It’s so hard to process this.”
Fortunately, during all of the tragedy she’s experienced this year, Wright has been able to lean on her ex-husband for support. Following the shooting deaths of her brothers, she told PEOPLE, “It didn’t surprise me that [Wayne] showed up. We’re still very, very close.”
