Tyra Banks is back as host of America’s Next Top Model and she is already making major changes.
The show’s co-creator and executive producer announced that there would no age restrictions for those who want to try out for the show’s next cycle.
“There have been 23 cycles of ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ and every single cycle we say you have to be 27 years old or younger,” she said in a Twitter video Saturday. “You know what I hear all the time? ‘Tyra, come on. Why have an age limit?’ So you know what? I’m taking that age limit off.”

To have been a successful show for this long, Tyra has had to mix in gimmicks every now and then. There have been co-ed seasons, and college girls-only seasons for example.
But this maybe the most interesting change the series has had in a while.
She added: “You want to audition for ‘America’s Next Top Model’? I don’t care how old you are, honey. You just need to know how to ‘smize’ and be open to learning how to work the runway like a supermodel.”
This will be Tyra’s first season as host since the show was picked up by VH1. Rita Ora was the host for that single seasons to mixed reviews.
Will you be watching? Or even better, will you be auditioning?
