Tyrese Shares Precious Father/Daughter Photo And Message For His 9-Year-Old

Tyrese is watching his baby girl grow up before his eyes and like any proud father, he’s vowed to spend his life protecting her.

In a photo posted to the singer’s Instagram page, 9-year-old Shayla Gibson can be seen sitting next to her father in a salon as the pair get pedicures. Tyrese credits his long-time mentor Rev Run with capturing the priceless father-daughter moment, before writing a lengthy message about what it has meant to watch his daughter grow up, how he’ll always be there for her, and how she has redefined his idea of love.

“#ShaylaGibson I will protect you for the rest of my days on this earth,” he writes in the caption. “I’m talking, stab, shoot and kill if needed- nobody better not touch or harm my baby……….I work as hard as I do so that you will never miss a meal and never be without and when ALL that I’m hustling for gets even more in place.”

I didn't know @revwon took this picture he caught me having a real father moment staring at my baby as she was picking a color for her feet…. Pure, innocent and just happy to just be a little girl…… I tell my daughter often that her father is a #SuperHero and sometimes I have to fly away and it may appear at times that people I barely know means more to me than her but they don't - I'm only away at times because I HAVE to be….. Like a King Lion in the field aggressively hunting not just for a temporary meal or fix…… Hunting to establish and create that real generational wealth that will be passed down to my kids, kids, kids……. Sad to say that most of your favorite entertainers don't currently have shit, let alone will they have anything to show for it when they pass on……… Most are out here creating these false images of financial security trying to sell #YOU on the fact that they got it but the real ones out here know they really don't and honestly, that's sad it actually breaks my #HEART cause some of these folks I'm describing are my friends talented as hell and literally have nothing to show for how MUCH they give of themselves to the WORLD!!!!!
