According to CNN, Palm Beach County court records show the case was closed last week. Terms of the agreement weren’t included in the documents. The tennis star was involved in a fatal crash that killed 78-year-old Jerome Barson last June. He died two weeks later. Barson’s wife, who was driving, suffered a broken arm. Williams was uninjured. Police initially said Williams, driving a 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV, ran a red light and caused the crash. after Palm Beach Gardens police released an 18-page investigation detailing the accident, authorities later cleared her of wrongdoing and said no one was to blame. The tennis champ broke down when asked about the crash during a press conference at last year’s Wimbledon championships in London. Williams has not commented about the settlement.
