Last night’s 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors was a celebration to honor those who have had dynamic careers contributing to the world of the performing arts.

Honorees this year included filmmakers George Lucas, actresses Cicely Tyson and Rita Moreno, conductor Seiji Ozaw and singer-songwriter Carole King.
What really brought the ceremony to its feet was a stellar performance from Aretha Franklin.
Dressed in a full-length fur and playing the piano, the 1995 Kennedy honors recipient performed a rousing rendition of her classic 1968 hit, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” dedicated to King, who co-wrote it.
Audience members were completely enthralled in her performance, including President Obama, who was caught wiping a tear from his eye.
They don’t call her the Queen of Soul for nothing!
