Before Cardi B takes a break to make mommy moves and welcome her baby girl, the Bronx rapper just dropped a colorful new video that’s perfect for summer.
In her latest effort from her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B connects with two of Latin America’s biggest reggaeton stars, Bad Bunny and J Balvin, for “I Like It,” an homage to her Afro-Latinx roots.
Over on Twitter, the outspoken rapper thanked her collaborators for appearing on the song.
“J Balvin and Bad Bunny DONT know how deeply i appreciate the fact they got on my record and did the music video,” Cardi B tweeted. “Makes me emotional. Agradecida pare siempre!!”
This is the second video Cardi B dropped in less than a week. Her previous effort, “Be Careful,” has already racked up 15 million views since its premiere, and “I Like It” is on track to do the same.
With a baby on the way in July and a hit album to promote, Cardi B seems to be trying to work as hard as she can until her little bundle of joy arrives. But fans want her to take a break and enjoy this epic moment.
“Cardi b is so f–king overworked i hope the good sis is emotionally and mentally okay there is no reason why she should have to work as hard as she does,” one fan wrote.
Ever attentive to the #BardiGang, the rapper thanked him for his concern, but said she works hard because her family depends on her.
“Thank you boo. I have too tho! I got a mom and dad that i gotta make sure they good forevaaa and my daughter! I get tired but ..somebody gotta do it,” she explained.
In spite of her amazing work ethic, we hope Cardi takes a well-deserved break whenever she needs it.
In the meantime, check out the video for her latest hit, “I Like It.” And remember, it may not be safe for work.
