James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke has been so successful that now the Late Late Show segment has a standalone series on Apple Music.
For its debut on the music platform, Corden enlisted Will Smith to sit in the passenger’s seat while they belted songs like “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” and talked about Smith possibly portraying former president Barack Obama.
The actor revealed that he’d been approached to portray America’s first Black president and even has Obama’s approval.
“I talked to Barack about it,” Smith said. “He told me that he felt confident that I had the ears for the role.”
Ok, Hollywood, let’s make it happen.
Smith recently signed on to play Genie in the live-action version of Aladdin, and he’s also set to star in the fourth and fifth films of the Bad Boys’ franchise.
