Yara Shahidi’s Black-ish family will not let a hiatus stop them from celebrating one of their own.
The teen star is set to graduate high school this summer. And because the hit ABC show will be on break at the time, the cast and crew decided to throw her their own surprise graduation party.

Yara also posted the same video with her own caption of gratitude: “I’m not a crier but needless to say tears of joy were streaming. To know that everybody on that set is invested in my well-being and future is surreal. They have watched me grow and helped me thrive.”
She added: “Thank you to everyone who orchestrated and celebrated this huge milestone in my life”
The actress is waiting to hear back from colleges next month. The Michelle Obama-approved actress also plans to take a gap year before heading to university.
