Mrs. Obama,
I was not raised with wealth or resources or any social standing to speak of. And I come here as a daughter, raised by a father who was a blue-collar city worker and a mother who stayed at home… Those are your words but they are mine too. You are me and so many other women of all races. You have formed such a connection with us. At the end of the day we all want the best for our children; we want to serve our country; and we want to be vibrant and healthy. We want to laugh and dance; to love and be loved. And yes, sometimes we want to eat fries! As you and the President have said, our similarities are so much more than our differences. Our phenomenal country’s fabric is made up of phenomenal ladies. As the First Lady, thank you for representing OUR face so gracefully and graciously to our global neighbors and here at home. We are so so so so so proud of you! Happy Birthday!

You are an inspiration to me. As a young Black woman, you have inspired me to make a difference in my community and help others. THANK YOU for everything you and your husband are doing for this country and beyond. You are blessed and highly favored. May you and your family continue to be blessed. Happy Birthday and I wish you many more!
Blessings,

Mrs. Obama,
Happy birthday madame First Lady! And I do mean lady! May today be as special a day for you as you have been to all of us thus far. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a fine example of what we African-American woman should strive to be — a strong minded, educated woman who performs her roles as wife and mother without hesitation and to her perfection. I strive to be the best mother I can and you inspire me. Please stay as you are Mrs. Obama, stay putting family and children first!
Have the most blessed day possible,
Angel

Mrs. Obama,
As a daughter, sister, wife and mother you are a priceless gem; the writer says: “For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.”
Thank you for being grounded in the things that you value and hold dear. I appreciate your warmth and strength. As a mirror on the wall for all the world to see. Hear the chants: mirror, mirror on the wall, Michelle Obama is the fairest of them all. Mirror, mirror on the wall, whose the fairest of them all? First Lady Michelle Obama is the fairest of them all!
As you celebrate your 48th anniversary of birth, may the love of your creator, your family, and your country be a constant reminder of how blessed you are to be a servant of the most high.
Love,
Your Sister Helen
