A few lucky fans were treated to an early screening of last Sunday’s episode of Claws, “Vaginalologist,” during the 2018 ESSENCE Festival, where they got to see characters Desna (Niecy Nash) and Jennifer (Jenn Lyon) deal with some major drama, revealing a big plot twist in season two’s fifth episode.
Following the screening, Nash and Lyon joined ESSENCE’s Sydney Scott for a quick Q&A about the episode and what might be in store for the show’s third season, which was confirmed earlier this month.
Nash, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, opened up about Dr. Gregory Ruval’s (Jimmy Jean-Louis) betrayal and his sneaky relationship with Zlata (Franka Potente) and what that could mean going forward, while Lyon dished on her character’s marriage and the possibility of Jennifer and Bryce (Kevin Rankin) mending their relationship.
