In honor of the worldwide Women’s March, which occurred the day after the inauguration of Donald Trump, Atria Books made seven e-books available for free.
The call to action, which occurred both nationally and internationally, collectively drew more than a million people, including notables like Alicia Keys, Zendaya and Janelle Monáe. The event focused on women’s equality issues, including social justice, human rights, and healthcare.

Judith Curr, president/publisher of Atria Publishing Group, said the free downloads were to “honor everyone marching and those who can’t participate.”
“We’re giving these e-books away as a gift because we feel they embody the spirit of the weekend … these titles is a reward and a wonderful way to spend some time with strong women in the fiction and non-fiction world,” she continued.
