A video of a Louisiana high school student finding out she was accepted into Wellesly College has gone viral.
Jada Wiltz is a student at TM Landry College Preparatory, known for their college acceptance reaction videos.
The Breaux Bridge, Louisiana school films videos that capture the moment students learn that they’ve been accepted by the college of their choice. Their friends, family, and teachers usually gather around to cheer in excitement along with them.
Wiltz shared her own video on Twitter:
The video, shared on Wednesday, had been retweeted more than 9,000 times by Saturday afternoon.
“I didn’t expect that much from the video,” Wiltz told the Boston Globe. “I was just more so happy that I got in at the time.”
She plans to study math with a concentration in biology in order to become an anesthesiologist.
“You realize that people matter, and some things you just can’t do by yourself, and you need people,” she said of her experience. “And for me, my family, my TM Landry family, have been those supportive people.”
