New year, new month, new Netflix titles.
January is all about resolutions for some, so why not resolve to check out new movies and TV shows you’ve never seen before?
This month, Netflix will be dropping some cool originals and recognizable titles like part two of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s fourth season and the Michaela Coel-led series Black Earth Rising.
But don’t worry about wading through it all, we’ve picked out five new titles that are perfect to start the year.

Starring Genevieve Nnaji, Lionheart tells the story of Adaeze, who must step in to run the family business—alongside her uncle—when her father falls ill.

Rapper Killer Mike and a squad of hilarious correspondents explore social topics in the comedic docu-series.

Black Earth Rising – Jan. 25
Michaela Coel stars alongside John Goodman in this series about a woman rescued as a child from the Rwandan genocide. Her relationship with her adopted mother becomes strained when her mother decides to take on a case involving an African militia leader.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 4, Part 2 – Jan. 25
This wacky Netflix series comes to a close with titular character Kimmy Schmidt making a difficult decision. And a special episode will show viewers how Titus, Jacqueline, Lillian, and Kimmy’s lives would have been different if she’d never been kidnapped.
