Meagan Good, who co-hosted the event with environmental advocate Amanda Cerny, participated in the festival along with Ashanti, Soca singer Machel Montano, Nico and Vinz and other major international artists. They all took the stage in Antigua and Barbuda last Saturday at the Play it Out music festival to #BeatPlasticPollution.
The festival, which was organized with the governments of Antigua and Barbuda and Norway, brought together other celebrities, world leaders, and policy makers, who could all make a real difference when it comes to environmentalism, specifically plastic pollution.
The Play it Out music festival was also part of a larger campaign, created by United Nations General Assembly President María Fernanda Espinosa, who launched a global call to action on plastic pollution.
