Ava DuVernay can’t get enough of New Zealand.
In location scouting for her upcoming film, A Wrinkle in Time, the director takes us on a behind-the-scenes look at New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes.

“The far reaches of New Zealand are more jaw-dropping than I can describe,” said DuVernay, posting to Instagram. “Lakes are so blue they look like crystal clear pool water. Everywhere you turn there is some new jewel of nature – just shining, being gorgeous.”
DuVernay is thankful to be experiencing what she describes as “heaven” with her amazing “Wrinkle” crew; she is the first Black female director to helm a $100 million budget film.
