Barack Obama has shared his favorite songs of 2018 and the playlist includes some of this year’s biggest hits.
The former president dropped the list on Friday, which featured songs from Cardi B, H.E.R, The Carters, and Janelle Monáe.
“As 2018 draws to a close, I’m continuing a favorite tradition of mine and sharing my year-end lists,” Obama wrote on Instagram. “It gives me a moment to pause and reflect on the year through the books, movies, and music that I found most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved.”
“It also gives me a chance to highlight talented authors, artists, and storytellers – some who are household names and others who you may not have heard of before. Swipe through to see my best of 2018 list – I hope you enjoy reading, watching, and listening,” he concluded.
And on Facebook, Obama also shared a list of his favorite books and films of 2018, including his wife Michelle Obama’s Becoming. Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther and Barry Jenkins’s If Beale Street Could Talk also made Obama’s list of favorite films of 2018.
We highly recommend checking out everything on these lists!
