Beyoncé was accompanied by daughter, Blue Ivy, to The Lion King premiere in Hollywood—and they were both the belles of the ball.
The “Formation” singer, who voices Nala in the Disney live-action remake, briefly posed for photos on the red carpet in Hollywood, wearing a custom bejeweled Alexander McQueen tuxedo dress. Blue Ivy also matched mommy in her own McQueen outfit.
The duo stole the show at the premiere of the highly anticipated movie, which is expected to open to big numbers at the box office when it officially hits theaters next week. So far, the film has garnered the second-highest first-day ticket sales of the year, second only to Avengers: Endgame.
Although she opted out of doing red carpet interviews, Queen Bey didn’t exactly keep quiet on Tuesday night.
In fact, she dropped new music. A brand new song titled “Spirit,” which, according to Disney, will be part of a new album called The Lion King: The Gift, hit streaming platforms late Tuesday evening.
The album will feature global artists & steeped in the sounds of Africa, produced and curated by Beyoncé.
The rest of the star-studded cast, including Donald Glover and Alfre Woodard, were also in attendance for the premiere and gave interviews on the exclusive Disney livestream.
Disney’s The Lion King hits theaters on July 19.
