The Braxton family’s relationship has been on shaky ground this season, and now they’re seeking help from one of TV’s most famous aunties.
According to an exclusive from Entertainment Tonight, Iyanla Vanzant will appear on the two-part season finale of WE tv’s Braxton Family Valuesto help the family heal from its past traumas.
ET reports, “Tensions among the family have been high this season as Toni, Tamar, Traci, Trina and Towanda have disagreed about work, tours, birthday parties, spilling secrets, and one sister telling another she was ‘dead’ to them.”
While it’s unclear if the Iyanla! Fix My Life star can work her magic on the Braxtons, one reason the sisters seem to be at odds is because not all of the women decided to quit production of the show when their demands were not met. In fact, Traci Braxton decided to continue filming, which led some of her sisters to feel betrayed.
Even before the season began, Tamar Braxton told her fans that much of her family’s past drama could be blamed on the show.
“We STARTED having major OVER THE TOP family issues because some network wanted to compete with old love and hip hop numbers, And felt that our family was to ‘perfect’ and unrelatable,” Tamar said back in June. “Our problems are JUST like everyone else’s.. AND this BLACK FAMILY IS FINE THE WAY WE ARE!”
However, judging by a clip from the upcoming season finale, that might not quite be true.
I guess we’ll have to tune in to Braxton Family Values to find out what’s really going on.
The two-part season finale airs Thursday, Sept, 27 and Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. on WE tv.
