It is less than two weeks until the live-action remake of Lion King is released — and Disney is whetting our appetite with a new cast photo.
The whole cast posed in all black as they memorialized this epic moment in Disney history. Of course, all eyes are on Beyoncé, who is placed right in the center of the photo behind Donald Glover.
The “Formation” singer, who plays an adult Nala in the remake, looks stunning in an all-black hip-hugging dress. She finished the look off with her signature side pony.
The rest of the 12-person cast, including Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Alfre Woodard are also clad in dark colors for the photo.
Disney dropped its most exciting trailer yet of the upcoming movie during Essence Festival on Saturday.
The new adaptation promises to stay true to the classic story, which dates back to the 1994 animated film musical that became a worldwide phenomenon. That film also spawned a record-breaking Broadway musical and theme park attractions.
