City Girls rapper JT didnโt waste no time. After being released from prison Tuesday, sheโs already dropped new music for fans.
JT, born Jatavia Shakara Johnson, received a two-year prison sentence for credit card fraud in 2018, and was initially expected to be released in 2020.
On Tuesday, the rapper was set free after filing a motion in May to be placed in a halfway house.
JTโs City Girls partner Yung Miami shared the good news on social media, writing, โYou bโโs in trouble!! My bโh is home!โ
JT also shared her first post-release photo, adding that she got out โright on time for the season change.โ
The duo continued to celebrate by sharing a new single, โFirst Day Out,โ which sees JT freestyling over a beat produced by Twysted Genius.
Throughout JTโs prison sentence, Yung Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, has held the group down.

She performed solo earlier this year at ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans and continued to promote the duoโs music. Miami announced in June that sheโs expecting her second child.
