• Queen Latifah’s talk show has been given the green light by CBS! The Queen Latifah Show is set to debut fall 2013 and will feature celebrity guests, comedy, pop culture, musical performances and more. The show will be executive produced by Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. This is the actress’ second shot at day time TV. Her first talk show of the same name debuted in 1999 and went off the air in 2001. [Deadline]
• Whoopi Goldberg was one of many celebs who tweeted about hurricane Sandy. Before hunkering down for safety, Goldberg shared, “The wind and rain caused a building facade to fall off, many without power, transformers on electric poles are popping, trees down everywhere.” When asked how she’s doing, she simply replied, “I’m ok.” [Hollywood Reporter]
• CBS has announced that LL Cool J will host this year’s Grammy Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night with a little help. Singer Taylor Swift is set to co-host the event. A number of Eddie Murphy’s close friends are coming together to pay tribute to him. Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence are among many who will take the stage for Spike TV’s Eddie Murphy: One Night Only which will tape this Saturday and air on November 16.
