A sequel for the box-office success, Creed, could hit screens next year.
Variety reports that MGM CEO Gary Barber has his eyes set on a November 2017 release for the film.
Huh? Sylvester Stallone Forgets to Thank ‘Creed’ Director While Accepting Golden Globe
“That’s my goal,” Barber said, but quickly added that no official date had been finalized.
The prospect of a sequel would reunite film stars Michael B. Jordan and recent Golden Globe award-winner Sylvester Stallone.
Hopes of a November 2017 release could mean director Ryan Coogler might not be involved with the project—Coogler recently signed on to direct Marvel’s Black Panther, which is due in theatures February 2018.
