Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey, Wayne Brady, and Judge Mathis have all received Daytime Emmy nominations. Not only that but our favorite shows, including Facebook’s Red Table Talk, The Real and The View also scored nods.
Williams nomination for The Wendy Williams Show is a welcome triumph in a time of personal conflict and instability for the media veteran. She recently returned to her iconic purple chair after an extended hiatus to address her health concerns, which included addiction and complications from Graves’ Disease.
Williams is nominated as Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. In her category, she’ll be competing against the cast of The Real ,who collected four other nominations.
Red Table Talk is nominated for Outstanding Informative Talk Show. Bringing home an Emmy to the Red Table would make a huge statement on the power of Facebook to foster a space to create impactful content as well as distribute it.
Harvey is nominated for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host while Mathis and his no nonsense demeanor is nominated for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
Brady, whose game show Let’s Make A Deal earned two nominations, received his first-ever drama nod this year. He was nominated in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for his role as Dr. Reese Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful.
And James Bland’s web series Giants, hosted on YouTube, received three nominations including Outstanding Directing for a Digital Drama Series, Original Song Outstanding Writing for a Digital Drama Series, and Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
