Drake dropped the visuals for his Scorpion track “In My Feelings” on Thursday, and it is obvious that the Toronto native is trying to get another viral video on his hands.
The song itself has already hit the top of the Billboard charts, thanks to the ever-infectious “Shiggy Dance” as seen on the viral #InMyFeelingsChallenge.
And Drake made sure the video was chockful of celebrity cameos.
To start, there is Lala Anthony playing the ubiquitous Keke mentioned in the song. She joins Drake in a hilarious back-and-forth skit at the top of the video. Phylicia Rashad steals the show as Keke’s annoyed mama.
A random selection of celebrities pop up throughout the video, including Will Smith, the Fab Five of Netflix’s Queer Eye, City Girls’ Yung Miami, Big Freedia, Backpack Kid, and the kids from Stranger Things.
We also see the comedian Shiggy — the man who started the viral challenge— as a loudmouthed and funny handler, who wakes Drake from a dream at the end of the video. The dance challenge even gets a bit of love in the video.
But overall, the video’s biggest cameo was the city of New Orleans, whose gorgeous architecture and weathered streets were on full display as Drake makes his way through the southern city.
The music video is directed by Karena Evans, who also directed Drake’s videos for his singles “Nice For What” and “I’m Upset.”
