‘Tis the season to give back and what better way than with a musical treat from one of entertainment’s most talented singers?
For the second year in a row, ESSENCE is teaming up with the Christian Culture Center in Brooklyn, NY for our #GetLifted holiday community event. The free event welcomes 100 women from shelters associated with NYC’s Samaritan Village organization, who join together with ESSENCE staff and other influencers for an afternoon of great food, fellowship and upliftment.
The day will conclude with a free Gospel concert hosted by radio personality Liz Black, with year’s show to feature a special performance by none other than Grammy-nominated soul music powerhouse Kelly Price. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Christian Cultural Center sanctuary on December 1, 2017 beginning at 7:30 pm.
