Tracee Ellis Ross has so many talents that it should be of no surprise that she can drop verses. On the latest episode of Apple Music’s Carpool Karaoke, the Golden Globe winner takes the mic to rap with Big Sean in an epic song collaboration.
The pair go from the studio —where Ross has written her lines– to the car where she performs them over Big Sean’s hit “Bounce Back.”
“Don’t call me Tracee it’s T-Murda. Rhymes like a supeona, bought to serve ya. Big Sean raised the bar, I raised it furtha’. Spitting verses ears ain’t never heard of,” she says.
While the two have never made music together, Big Sean does hail from Detroit where Ross’ very famous mother, Diana Ross, was born and raised. Clearly, the two have music in their bones as evidenced by this cute song.
Based on the segment that has become a global, viral video sensation on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Apple’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series brings the celebrity pairings together behind the wheel as they buckle up and belt it out to their favorite playlists.
This season the series features LeBron James, Alicia Keys, Will Smith and many more of musicians, athletes and superstars. Two new episodes debut weekly, and fans can stream the official “Carpool Karaoke” playlist from Apple Music here.
Watch new episodes of Carpool Karaoke, Tuesdays at 6pm/ET.
