While we impatiently wait for our favorite Fox series to return to our television screens, Empire has graced us with a little something to hold us over for the time being.
Ahead of the DVD/ Blu-ray release of season 1 on September 15, here’s the extended version of the “No Apologies” music video starring Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray. Yazz drops some hardened “Hakeem” lyrics to Smollett’s mellifluous flow and a Timbaland beat to piece it all together.
The season one DVD is over nine hours of content and 50 minutes of special features, including behind-the-scenes footage, commentary from our favorite characters (ahem, Cookie) and 11 uncut music performances of popular songs, including “Drip Drop,” “Good Enough” and “No Apologies.”
