Platinum-selling girl group 702 is making a comeback!
Member Kameelah Williams made the announcement Tuesday, taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, “It’s OFFICIAL 702 is back in business!! We are now PERFORMING TOGETHER & coming to a city near you! BOOKING INFO IN MY BIO! WHERE MY GIRLS AT!”
The group, which went on hiatus in the early 2000s before completely disbanding, is considered one of the greatest girl groups of all time.
Stil, the ladies have faced their fair share of ups and downs. Williams told TheYBF.com in 2013 that she left the group because it “became a toxic and unhealthy environment.” She added that she also felt that Motown failed to properly promote their third album, Star.
But, whatever differences the ladies may have had, the group seems to have moved past them.
So, fans can expect to see LeMisha Fields, Irish Grinstead, and Meelah Williams giving audiences the reunion they’ve been waiting for.
