Hold on to your church hats!
OWN’s hit family drama, Greenleaf, is returning to the air for a juicy two-night premiere. And from the looks of things, this season is going to be GOOD.
When the show last left off, the Greenleafs were going through it. Lady Mae (Lynn Whitfield) and Bishop Greenleaf’s (Keith David) marriage was on the rocks; Grace (Merle Dandridge) killed Mac McCready (GregAlan Williams) in self-defense; and young Zora found herself in an abusive relationship. With so much going on, it’s a wonder most of the Greenleafs made it through the season alive.
But season three could change everything.
Lady Mae and the Bishop’s relationship is still in jeopardy, and now that Rochelle Cross (LeToya Luckett) is in the picture, it may never heal. And while the Greenleafs are dealing with family drama, their church is in trouble too. With a $2 million dollar IRS bill hanging over the church’s head–and competition from another congregation–Calvary Fellowship World Ministries may cease to exist, taking the family’s legacy and livelihood with it.
Can the Greenleafs keep their family and their church afloat?
Tune in August 28th and 29th at 10 p.m. to see how it all turns out.
