Rae may be an exceptional example of what happens when Black women step up behind the scenes, but her work as a showrunner hasn’t prevented her acting career from taking off.
Along with The Photograph, she’s also set to co-star in Marsai Martin’s record-breaking comedy Little, out next month, showed range in the adaptation of The Hate U Give, and recently completed production on the romantic comedy The Lovebirds.
Stanfield followed up his turn in the critical darling Sorry To Bother You with appearances in the mystery Knives Out and the comedy Uncut Gems.
Two of our favorite talents in a love story told by a Black woman? Here for it!
