Ever since T.I. revealed that he goes to the gynecologist with his teenage daughter to check that her hymen is intact, we’ve been wondering …well…why?
We’ll be getting some answers sooner rather than later when the Atlanta rapper and his wife Tiny Harris sit down with Jada Pinkett Smith for her Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk. Pinkett Smith teased the episode with a photo of the sit-down, which was filmed last week and is set to air on Monday.
‘Join me for an extremely candid conversation with T.I. and Tiny about his recent controversial comments,” she captioned the photo.
T.I. was on the receiving end of heavy criticism earlier this month for saying he goes to the gynecologist with his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah each year to “check her hymen” is still intact. The rapper’s controversial comments were in response to a question about whether he’s had the “sex talk” with his daughters on the podcast Ladies Like Us.
“So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor comes and talk, and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism,” T.I. explained, adding that the doctor asked Deyjah if was fine to tell her father the results. “He’s like, ‘You know, sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know? See, Doc? Ain’t no problem.'”
“As of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact,” he added.
The new episode of Red Table Talk will premiere on Facebook on Monday.
