It looks like Janet Jackson is back with some new music, and fans are already excited.
The global icon announced that she will be releasing a new single, “Made For Now,” with an accompanying music video this Friday. The 52-year-old superstar has collaborated with Reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee on this new song, which is said to be inspired by her “personal love of music from around the globe.”
“The song is meant to move people to enjoy their lives and seize opportunities today, not worry or wait until tomorrow,” she said in a statement. She plans to perform the song for the first time live with Daddy Yankee on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday.
It looks like the video Jackson was spotted shooting last month in Brooklyn might have been for “Made For Now.” The singer was spotted dancing through the streets with her squad while a camera crew followed along.“Made for Now” also marks Jackson’s first new music since the release of her eleventh album Unbreakable in 2015.Back in May, Jackson told Billboardthat she was working on new music, though she refused to directly comment on when fans might expect it. She said that she doesn’t “try to analyze the creative process while it’s still ongoing.”
It looks like she’s now ready!
