There could be a Get Out sequel on the way.
Director Jordan Peele says he is “definitely, seriously” considering a sequel to the hit horror film. At the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Nominees Night, Peele dished on the possibility of continuing the film.
“I can tell you I will definitely, seriously consider it,” he said. “I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.”
Get Out earned numerous Oscar nominations in January, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Leading Actor for the film’s star Daniel Kaluuya.
Peele and fans shared their excitement after the nominees were announced. The director revealed on Twitter, “I just spoke to Daniel. You know when you’re on the phone trying to disguise the sound of an ugly cry? I failed at that.”
Where Peele sees the sequel going is anyone’s guess, but we’re sure it would be quite a ride.
