From Scream Queens to Scream: Keke Palmer is continuing to exercise her vocal cords on television.
Palmer will lead the third season of the rebooted anthology series, Scream, on MTV, EW can confirm.
Last October, MTV renewed the slasher series for a shortened six-episode third season, and now, they’re rounding out the casting details.
The former Scream Queens star will find herself being hunted by a killer as Kym, a social activist with a thousand causes whose big heart and lack of patience often get her into trouble. Not one to sit idly by while a psychopath hunts down her and her friends, Kym works to uncover the killer and stay alive at any cost.
MTV also announced that RJ Cyler (I’m Dying Up Here), Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Jessica Sula (Recovery Road), and Giullian Yao Gioiello (Julie’s Greenroom) will join the cast for the abbreviated third season.
Cyler will have a major role as Deion, a star running back for the high school football team who sees his dreams of a college athletic scholarship when a masked killer targets him and threatens to expose the secrets of his past. Sula will portray Liz, a new girl at school and honor roll student, while Whigam will take on the role of goth girl Beth and Gioiello will feature as the openly gay Manny.
It was previously announced that Tyga and CJ Wallace would be part of the anthology series’ third season.
On Wednesday morning, Tyga teased the return of the iconic original Scream mask on Twitter, sharing a picture of someone wearing the mask and the caption, “@MTVScream szn 3.”
