Kendrick Lamar has released a new song, “Humble,” and a video for the single that features the rapper in papal robes, religious themes, and a call for listeners to “sit down, be humble.”
The new video comes just a week after Lamar shared a cryptic Instagram post that suggested a new album was around the corner — the post has since been deleted.
“Humble” includes insane imagery like Lamar rapping while his head is engulfed in flames, spitting lyrics in papal robes, and his very own version of The Last supper.
Lamar’s last studio album, To Pimp a Butterfly, dropped in 2015 and later earned Best Rap Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. If “Humble” is any indication, Lamar’s upcoming album is likely to collect similar acclaim.
The rapper’s currently untitled fourth album is expected to drop April 7.
